Our client, established in 1888, is a manufacturer producing primarily aluminum low-carbon stainless steel wire mesh and fine wire for industrial and consumer markets. They are located in York County, and operate two manufacturing plants twenty minutes apart.They have retained our services to help them fill an important role in their organization, an Inventory Control and Scheduling Manager. This role directs and coordinates the flow of materials and production schedules in all plant locations. The Inventory Control and Scheudling Manager supervises one Planner and reports to the Manufacturing Plant Manager.Scope:Review production schedules and related information and confer with department supervisors and Purchasing Department to determine material requirements and to identify overdue materials.Oversee the planning and direction of production activities and establish production priorities.Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and orders materials accordingly.Coordinate production activities with sales, purchasing, maintenance and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.Requisition material and establishe sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.Compute amount of material required to complete job orders.Compile and maintain records such as material inventory, in process production reports and status and location of materials.Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.Approve revisions to production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems and customer requirements.Consult with engineering personnel relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products.Responsible for on time shipping of orders.Quickly understand IWM’s MES system and is proficient in SAP.Help determine MES/SAP discrepancies and offers solutions to improve system integration.Schedule 5-7 product lines in 3 separate manufacturing facilities in York County, PA.

Requirements

BS degree or 3 yrs of related scheduling and planning experienceExperience with ERP system. SAP a plusPlanning and Scheduling experience within manufacturingUnderstand of Excell and pivot tables
