The role ensures that all physical items are accurately identified, properly recorded in the inventory or asset management system, and stored or assigned according to company procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementReceive and verify incoming inventory, equipment, and company assets.Check quantities, descriptions, serial numbers, model numbers, and physical condition against delivery documents.Conduct regular physical inventory counts and stock verification.Record inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, issues, returns, and disposals.Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP, inventory, or asset management system.Identify discrepancies between physical stock and system records and report them to the supervisor.Organize inventory in designated storage locations for easy identification and access.Monitor stock levels and report damaged, missing, obsolete, or excess items.Assist with periodic stocktaking and internal inventory audits.Asset TaggingIdentify company assets requiring asset tags in accordance with company policy.Prepare and apply asset tags, barcodes, QR codes, or other identification labels.Ensure each asset is assigned the correct asset ID.Record asset information, including description, category, serial number, location, custodian, department, and acquisition details.Verify that asset tags are securely attached and clearly visible.Re-tag or replace damaged, missing, or unreadable asset labels.Perform physical asset verification and reconciliation.Report unidentified, duplicate, missing, or incorrectly tagged assets.Assist in updating asset records following transfers, relocations, disposals, or replacements.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate inventory and asset documentation.Prepare inventory count sheets, asset registers, reconciliation reports, and discrepancy reports.File receiving documents, transfer forms, issue/return documents, and other relevant records.Ensure all inventory and asset transactions are properly documented and authorized.Support management during inventory and asset audits.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; relevant diploma or certification is an advantage.Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, asset management, or stock control is preferred.Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel or inventory systems.Ability to accurately read and record item codes, serial numbers, and asset information.Good attention to detail and organizational skills.Required SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy.Good numerical and record-keeping skills.Ability to perform repetitive counting and verification tasks.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and coordination skills.Ability to identify discrepancies and follow up appropriately.Physical ability to move, count, and inspect inventory or equipment when required.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Inventory record accuracy.Asset tagging accuracy.Completion of scheduled inventory counts.Timely updating of inventory and asset records.Number and resolution of inventory discrepancies.Percentage of assets correctly tagged and registered.Compliance with inventory and asset management procedures.Working ConditionsThe position may involve working in warehouses, offices, storage areas, and under different weather conditions.
