aligned with business requirements.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory accuracy, stock integrity, warehouse controls, inventory planning support, cycle counting, reconciliation, and continuous improvement across the organization.The ideal candidate will establish robust inventory-control processes, investigate discrepancies, improve stock visibility, reduce losses and excess inventory, and ensure that physical inventory consistently aligns with system records.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement inventory-control strategies, policies, procedures, and standards.Manage end-to-end inventory-control activities across warehouses, distribution centers, stores, and other stock locations.Establish inventory accuracy targets and control procedures.Monitor physical inventory against ERP, WMS, and inventory-management systems.Lead cycle-counting, stock-counting, and periodic physical inventory programs.Develop risk-based inventory counting schedules based on value, movement, criticality, and discrepancy history.Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate root-cause analysis.Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurring inventory variances.Monitor inventory adjustments, write-offs, transfers, damages, losses, and unidentified stock.Ensure proper receiving, put-away, storage, picking, transfer, and dispatch controls.Establish procedures for damaged, expired, obsolete, quarantined, returned, and blocked inventory.Ensure accurate SKU, location, batch, serial, lot, and inventory-status records.Monitor inventory movements and transaction accuracy across warehouse systems.Coordinate with warehouse teams to resolve stock discrepancies promptly.Work with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to improve inbound inventory accuracy.Coordinate with Finance on inventory valuation, reconciliation, reserves, and adjustments.Support month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and audit inventory activities.Maintain accurate inventory master data and identify data-quality issues.Review inventory aging and identify slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and at-risk stock.Support inventory optimization initiatives designed to reduce working capital without affecting service levels.Monitor inventory availability and identify potential stockout risks.Establish controls for high-value, sensitive, regulated, or restricted inventory.Maintain strong controls over inventory transfers between locations.Monitor warehouse locations, bin utilization, storage practices, and stock organization.Ensure appropriate FIFO, FEFO, or other inventory rotation methods are applied where required.Review inventory transaction errors and system exceptions.Partner with IT and warehouse technology teams to improve WMS and ERP inventory functionality.Support barcode, RFID, scanning, mobile-device, and automated inventory-control initiatives.Develop inventory-control dashboards, reports, and management information.Establish inventory governance and standard operating procedures across locations.Train warehouse and operations personnel on inventory-control requirements.Conduct inventory-control audits and compliance reviews.Identify process weaknesses that may contribute to shrinkage, loss, damage, or inaccurate records.Coordinate investigations into inventory loss, theft, unexplained variances, and operational errors.Work with Logistics and Distribution teams to improve inventory traceability throughout the supply chain.Support new warehouse openings, relocations, system implementations, and inventory migrations.Develop contingency procedures for system outages, stock discrepancies, and inventory emergencies.Manage inventory-control projects, budgets, resources, and improvement initiatives.Establish continuous-improvement programs using Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and process optimization.Provide management with regular reports on inventory accuracy, operations, supply chain, logistics, distribution, stock management, or materials management, preferably within retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, construction, 3PL, or large-scale distribution environments.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of inventory-control principles and warehouse processes.Experience managing cycle counts and physical inventory programs.Strong knowledge of ERP and WMS inventory systems.Experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.Understanding of inventory valuation, reconciliation, aging, and working-capital principles.Strong analytical and numerical skills.Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.Experience establishing inventory policies, SOPs, and control frameworks.Strong knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, batch, lot, serial, and location controls.Experience managing inventory audits and supporting financial or operational audits.Ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to manage multiple warehouses, locations, priorities, and deadlines.Experience working with international and distributed teams.Proficiency with inventory reporting, dashboards, spreadsheets, and data analysis.A strong continuous-improvement and process-control mindset.
