Inventory, Cost & Wholale Accountant

HIRING: INVENTORY, COST & WHOLESALE ACCOUNTANTA company specializing in the import and wholesale distribution of fresh cut flowers, roses, and live plants is seeking an experienced Accountant.

Location: Muscat, Oman

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Record and review purchase and sales invoices, expenses, and accounting entries.
• Calculate imported shipment costs and allocate freight, clearance, and transportation charges to individual products.
• Monitor inventory movements, sales, returns, and damaged or wasted stock.
• Reconcile delivery vehicle stock, cash, and customer collections.
• Monitor customer and supplier balances, receivables ageing, collections, and payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and verify cash balances.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare profitability reports by product, customer, salesperson, and delivery vehicle.
• Complete monthly closing, prepare financial reports, and handle VAT-related accounting and reporting.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in wholesale accounting, inventory, and costing.
• Experience in flowers, plants, or perishable products is preferred.
• Experience in van sales accounting, collections, and returns.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as Odoo, Tally, or Zoho.
• Knowledge of Oman VAT requirements.
