Apply & track with Apply EdgeInventory / Supply Planner – Roles & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute inventory and supply plans to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets and monitor inventory investments to align with financial and commercial objectives.Collaborate with Demand Planners, Category Managers, and cross-functional teams to balance demand forecasts with supply capabilities.Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing inventory insights, supply recommendations, and risk assessments.Analyze sales trends, inventory performance, stock cover, and replenishment requirements to optimize product availability.Monitor inventory health through KPIs such as stock turns, fill rate, aging inventory, excess stock, and out-of-stock performance.Generate purchase and replenishment plans based on forecasted demand, lead times, and supplier performance.Identify potential supply chain risks and proactively implement mitigation plans to avoid stock shortages or overstock situations.Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely product availability and efficient inventory movement.Support new product launches, seasonal planning, and promotional activities through accurate inventory planning.Prepare regular planning reports, dashboards, and business reviews for management.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management, forecasting accuracy, and planning processes.Ensure data integrity within ERP and planning systems while maintaining accurate inventory records.Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supply issues and improve service levels.Contribute to achieving inventory, service level, and working capital targets through effective planning and analytical decision-making.Preferred BackgroundExperience in inventory planning, supply planning, merchandise planning, or replenishment planning within retail, distribution, or consumer goods.Experience handling categories such as Electronics, Consumer Electronics, Toys, Accessories, Home Appliances, Lifestyle Products, or General Merchandise is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of S&OP, Open-to-Buy (OTB), demand planning, inventory optimization, replenishment planning, and supply chain planning.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), and planning tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across commercial and supply chain teams.Minimum 4–5 years of experience in inventory or supply planning is preferred.
