Our client is a specialist consulting firm that helps organisations navigate high-stakes, adversarial situations — including litigation and arbitration support, tracing hidden assets, enforcing judgments, and conducting internal investigations. Their work spans a wide range of industries and geographies.They're now looking to bring in a seasoned investigations professional at Manager or Associate Director level (the exact title will depend on your experience) to own delivery on complex, sensitive engagements and to lead the teams carrying out the underlying research.What the role involvesWorking closely with senior leadership, you'll take primary responsibility for planning and executing investigative work, then turning that thinking into polished, client-facing output. Specifically, you'll:Direct in-depth research using public records and oversee carefully-designed enquiries involving human sources, particularly on sensitive assignmentsContribute to building and pressure-testing investigative strategy, identifying weak points and recommending fixesOversee a team of Associates and Researchers — assigning work and ensuring it's delivered on time, to a high standard, and in the right directionQuality-check and refine written outputs so they're ready (or nearly ready) to go to the clientEngage directly with clients where needed, and contribute to budgeting, billing and resource planning across your caseloadCoach and develop more junior team members, and help roll out new investigative techniques and toolsWhat they need from youStrong experience working in investigations, litigation support, or asset tracing, with at least 2-3 years spent managing people or investigative workstreamsDemonstrable experience running complicated investigative projects end-to-endExcellent written communication, with a sharp eye for detail and accuracyGood judgement and the ability to stay discreet under pressure, often while juggling multiple mattersAdditional languages would help — Arabic is particularly welcomeExperience working across borders/internationally is a plus
