Investment Analyst - Asset Manager (Technology / Semiconductors)

An established international asset management firm is hiring an Investment Analyst to join its investment team in Hong Kong. This is a hands-on research seat with real influence on portfolio decisions and a clear focus on the technology and semiconductor space.About the opportunityYou will lead fundamental research on technology and semiconductor names across Asia and other major markets, generating differentiated, high-conviction ideas and working closely with portfolio managers to shape positioning. Alongside the stock work, you will help monitor the portfolio and contribute to performance and risk analysis.Your focusFundamental equity research across the technology and semiconductor value chain, with a primary focus on Asia and selected global names.Build detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, valuation work and clear investment theses.Develop independent, well-argued views and communicate them crisply to portfolio managers and the investment committee.Track news flow and company developments in your coverage, and support portfolio monitoring, performance and risk analytics.What we’re afterAround 5 to 8 years in equity research, investment management or a comparable analytical role (buy-side, sell-side or audit backgrounds all welcome).Genuine coverage of, or strong interest in, technology and semiconductors; exposure to the broader technology or cyclical sectors is a plus.Strong fundamental analysis, modelling and valuation skills; a proficient user of Excel and Bloomberg.A degree in business, finance, economics or a related field; an engineering or technical background alongside financial analysis is an advantage.Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin is a strong plus.An independent, curious thinker who takes ownership of their work and enjoys a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
