Investment Analyst

Huxley is partnering with a leading digital infrastructure and data center investment platform to appoint a (Senior) Investment Analyst in Tokyo. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded investment professional looking to play a key role in supporting data center developments, acquisitions, and asset management initiatives across Japan and the APAC region.The OpportunityAs a Senior Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for building and maintaining sophisticated financial models, supporting investment decisions, conducting market analysis, and providing strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders. The role offers significant exposure to investment committees, development teams, commercial stakeholders, and executive leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial underwriting and investment analysis for data centre developments, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives.Develop and maintain detailed financial models, including cash flow forecasting, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analyses.Conduct market research and evaluate industry trends, supply-demand dynamics, pricing, and competitive positioning.Prepare investment cases, business plans, and presentations for senior management and investment committees.Support strategic land acquisition, development feasibility assessments, and expansion opportunities.Work closely with finance, development, sales, and operations teams to drive commercial performance and maximize returns.Build relationships with brokers, lenders, consultants, valuers, customers, and joint venture partners to gather market intelligence and support investment decisions.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in investment analysis, financial modelling, research, or related functions.Experience within real estate, infrastructure, private equity, data centres, or a related investment environment is highly desirable.Advanced Excel modelling skills with the ability to build and maintain complex financial models.Strong understanding of investment metrics including IRR, NPV, yield analysis, and valuation methodologies.Fluent Japanese and English communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills with the ability to communicate financial insights to senior audiences.For a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please contact Mandy Yang m.yang@huxley.com at Huxley.
