Investment Analyst

ZB Financial Holdings invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Investment Analyst within ZB Asset Management, Investments Cluster.The Investment Analyst will support investment decision-making through comprehensive research and analysis of financial markets, economies, industries, securities and investment opportunities. The role will provide actionable insights to Portfolio Managers and senior management, ensuring investment decisions are aligned with the firm's objectives, risk appetite and client mandates.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth research and analysis across equities, fixed income, real estate, alternative investments and other asset classes.Analyse financial statements, macroeconomic indicators, industry trends and market developments to identify investment opportunities and risks.Develop market, economic and securities forecasts and investment insights.Evaluate investment opportunities using financial modelling and valuation techniques, including DCF, comparable companies and precedent transactions.Monitor portfolio holdings and assess performance against relevant benchmarks and investment objectives.Prepare investment proposals, market commentary, analytical reports and presentations for Portfolio Managers, Investment Committees and clients.Contribute to asset allocation and portfolio strategy based on risk-return objectives and client mandates.Identify emerging market trends, sector opportunities and potential investment risks.Compile and maintain investment performance reports, financial models, databases and research tools.Utilise financial data and analytical platforms, including Bloomberg, Excel and Power BI, to support investment analysis and decision-making.Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure investment activities are appropriately aligned with regulatory and internal requirements.Qualifications & ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, Business Studies or a related field.2–5 years' relevant experience in investment research, asset management, financial analysis or a related environment.CFA qualification or progress towards CFA will be an added advantage.Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments and portfolio management principles.Proven capability in financial modelling, valuation, quantitative analysis and data interpretation.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Bloomberg and Power BI will be an advantage.Excellent analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.Key CompetenciesAnalytical & Strategic ThinkingFinancial Modelling & ValuationMarket & Investment ResearchCommunication & PresentationIntellectual CuriosityCollaboration & Stakeholder ManagementInitiativeEthical Judgement & ConfidentialityIf you are interested and meet the requirements, please apply on or before the 25th of September 2026.ZB Financial Holdings is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
