Job Profile: Investment Analyst - Family Office

Location: DelhiExperienceMinimum 7 years of experience in Investment Research, Equity Research, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Family Office, Investment Banking, Asset Management, PMS, AIFs, or Corporate Investments.Role DescriptionThe Investment Analyst will support investment decision-making across the Group's Family Office and AIF/ PMS portfolios through comprehensive financial and business analysis.

The role involves evaluating investment opportunities, conducting market research, building financial models, monitoring portfolio performance, and preparing investment recommendations for management.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Evaluation & Research:o Evaluate investment opportunities across listed equities, mutual funds, PMS, AIFs, private companies, startups, venture capital, private equity, and alternative investments.o Conduct investment research, sector analysis, competitive benchmarking, and market screening to identify attractive investment opportunities.o Analyze business models, revenue drivers, unit economics, competitive positioning, scalability, and growth prospects.Portfolio Monitoring & Management:o Monitor listed equity portfolios, including quarterly results, corporate actions, earnings calls, management commentary, and sector developments.o Track portfolio performance, investment returns, risk metrics, and valuation movements.o Maintain investment MIS, databases, watchlists, and portfolio dashboards.Financial Analysis & Valuation:o Build, maintain, and validate financial and valuation models (DCF, Comparable Companies, Trading Multiples, Precedent Transactions).o Conduct return analysis, scenario analysis, and sensitivity assessments.o Review financial statements, profitability metrics, cash flows, working capital, and key financial ratios.Due Diligence & Risk Assessment:o Support financial, legal, tax, commercial, and operational due diligence processes.o Identify investment risks and evaluate mitigation strategies.o Assist in investment execution, transaction documentation, governance, compliance, and post-investment monitoring.Reporting & Communication:o Prepare investment notes, Investment Committee (IC) memos, presentations, portfolio review reports, and management updates.o Present investment findings & recommendations to internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Skills Required➢ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.➢ Expertise in Financial Modelling and Valuation.➢ Strong understanding of Financial Statement Analysis.➢ Knowledge of Equity Markets, Capital Markets, PMS, and AIF structures.➢ Ability to evaluate Startups, VCs, Private Equity, Series A, & seed-stage investment opportunities.➢ Portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and performance analysis capabilities.➢ Quantitative analysis, scenario modelling, and return evaluation skills.➢ Strong communication, presentation, and report-writing abilities.➢ Strong ownership mindset, integrity, and confidentiality.Qualifications➢ MBA (Finance), CA, and/or CFA preferred.➢ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration.➢ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.➢ Exposure to financial databases, research platforms, & data visualization/BI tools is an added advantage.Preferred Candidate Profile➢ Strong foundation in investments with experience evaluating listed and unlisted companies.➢ Familiarity with Family Office, PMS, AIF, Venture Capital, and Private Equity investment frameworks.➢ Ability to independently assess valuation, returns, and investment risks.➢ Comfortable working directly with senior management and preparing investment recommendations for decision-making.
