As a direct partner to the CIO, you'll have real responsibility across asset allocation, manager research, and portfolio construction from day one. If you're proactive, take initiative, and are serious about a career in investment management, you'll find more opportunity here than at firms three times our size.What You'll DoPartner with the CIO and investment team on asset allocation research, manager selection, and portfolio construction across existing and new strategiesDevelop subject matter expertise in assigned asset classes, including ongoing due diligence of existing portfolio holdings and proactive identification of new manager and strategy opportunitiesDevelop and maintain a deep understanding of the markets our managers invest in, staying current on market dynamics, trends, and the broader investment landscapeMonitor model portfolios and produce supporting analysis including attribution, exposure, and risk statisticsAnalyze existing investment managers using Morningstar Direct, with a focus on attribution analysis, performance reporting, and Presentation StudioDevelop investment theses on assigned asset classes and managers by identifying what matters, building the supporting analysis, and bringing a clear, well-reasoned point of view to the team. We expect conviction in your thinking and intellectual honesty when the evidence changesDevelop portfolio analysis and investment reporting for large clients with bespoke portfolio needsRespond to investment-related questions from financial planning teams and serve as a knowledgeable resource across the firmWhat We're Looking ForAn analytical mind that doesn't stop at the numbers — someone who knows what analysis to run, can identify what's actually important, and is willing to form and defend a view while remaining genuinely open to being wrongSomeone who sees a gap and fills it, who brings solutions rather than problems, and who takes genuine ownership of outcomes rather than just tasksActive participation in or completion of the CFA program; candidates who have passed Level 1 are strongly preferredHands-on fluency with Morningstar Direct — specifically manager research workflows, portfolio attribution, performance reporting, and Presentation StudioExperience in wealth management, asset management, or a related investment environment (RIA, broker-dealer, bank, fund company, or similar)Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing detail or follow-throughStrong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be interfacing across the firm and contributing to client-facing materialsA genuine interest in building, not just maintaining — we're modernizing a fast-growing firm and we want someone who sees that as the opportunity it isBachelor's degree requiredWhy DiversifiedWe're a growing RIA with a family-oriented culture and an investment process that’s evolving right now.
