Role Summary

This is an Investment Analyst role based in Singapore, sitting within the Equities team under the Investment Group, with a primary focus on High Growth Equities, responsible for identifying, researching, and developing high-conviction investment ideas across some of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving sectors within the equity universe. The role will focus on companies that are positioned to benefit from structural growth trends, technological innovation, and evolving consumer and industrial ecosystems across the region.Success in the role will require a strong understanding of equity markets, the ability to anticipate emerging trends, and a demonstrated capacity to generate high-conviction investment recommendations in a rapidly changing market environment. The analyst is expected to serve as a key contributor to the investment team's research efforts and play a central role in identifying the next generation of growth leaders.Key duties and responsibilitiesProduce high-quality, bottom-up investment research with actionable, high-conviction stock ideas for High Growth Equities portfolios.Cover selected sectors and companies across the equity universe, including (but not limited to) China internet and e-commerce platforms, Asian consumer franchises, AI and cloud infrastructure, robotics and automation, and the semiconductor value chain.Analyse business models, industry structures, competitive positioning and management quality to assess long-term growth and return potential.Build and maintain detailed financial models, including earnings forecasts, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and valuation under different growth and risk assumptions.Proactively identify and evaluate emerging investment themes arising from technological innovation, shifting competitive dynamics, regulatory changes and geopolitical developments.Continuously monitor new industries, business models and market opportunities driven by advances in AI and other transformative technologies.Conduct ad hoc research on companies and sectors outside the formal coverage universe when compelling growth opportunities emerge.Engage regularly with company management, industry experts and sell-side analysts to gather insights and test investment theses.Communicate clear, well-supported investment recommendations to portfolio managers and contribute actively to team discussions and portfolio construction decisions.Education qualificationBachelor’s degree in finance, economics or a relevant discipline.Preferably a CFA charter holder.Technical competencies8 – 10 years of relevant experience in an analyst role, preferably in equities research, asset management, hedge fund or related investment functions.Demonstrated experience in equity investment research and idea generation, ideally in growth, technology or innovation-led sectors, preferably within AsiaStrong financial modelling ability, including earnings forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and both absolute (e.g. DCF) and relative valuation techniques.Solid fundamental bottom-up research analysis skills, with the ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative inputs into clear investment theses.Familiarity with one or more of the following areas will be an advantage: Asia internet and e-commerce platforms, consumer franchises, AI and cloud infrastructure, robotics and automation, or the semiconductor value chain.Knowledge of ESG and sustainability issues and ability to incorporate these into investment analysis.Good written and verbal communication skills.Good team player who embraces a collaborative and open working culture that matches Fullerton’s core values.Willing to speak up and challenge the status quo in a constructive manner.
