Investment and Wealth Operations - Team Leader

With a decade of experience in the region and a team that possesses extensive knowledge of the market, we provide a fully integrated HR solution.We are currently recruiting a Investment and Wealth Operations - Team Leader for our Banking client, based in Dubai, UAE.Job Purpose:He/She will be responsible for managing the end-to-end post trade operations lifecycle across Investment, Wealth Management, Islamic Investment, and Digital Wealth products. The role ensures accurate and timely trade processing, settlements, reconciliations, payment execution, corporate actions, and operational controls while maintaining compliance with regulatory, audit, risk, and Sharia requirements.Job Responsibilities:Lead daily operations covering fixed income, repo/reverse repo, mutual funds, equities, corporate actions, Islamic investments, digital wealth products, FCNR, settlements, reconciliations, and SWIFT/payment processing.Oversee post-trade activities including trade confirmation, settlement, payment execution, accounting entries, holdings updates, and exception management.Manage cash, securities, nostro, holdings, commissions, VAT, and system reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of breaks and exceptions.Supervise bond settlements, repo transactions, mutual fund subscriptions/redemptions, equity settlements, dividend and coupon payments, and corporate actions.Support operational readiness for new investment products, digital wealth initiatives, structured products, and approved crypto-related offerings.Ensure strong risk, control, governance, maker-checker discipline, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across all operations.Act as the key escalation point for settlement failures, payment delays, reconciliation issues, operational incidents, and audit observations.Partner with Treasury, Wealth Management, Islamic Banking, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Technology, custodians, brokers, and fund managers to ensure seamless transaction execution.Prepare MIS reports, operational dashboards, exception reporting, and management updates.Lead, coach, and develop the operations team while driving process improvements, automation, and business continuity initiatives.Job Requirements:Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.8+ years experience in Investment Operations, Wealth Operations, Treasury Operations, Securities Settlement, Fund Administration, Payments, Reconciliations, or Capital Markets Operations.Strong knowledge of post-trade operations, fixed income, repo/reverse repo, mutual funds, equities, corporate actions, SWIFT payments, settlements, reconciliations, and operational risk controls.Proven leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.Ability to manage high-value transactions and perform effectively in a deadline-driven, control-focused banking environment.Ideal Candidate: A senior banking operations professional with strong investment and wealth operations expertise, capable of leading teams, managing post-trade processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering seamless settlement and reconciliation support across a diverse portfolio of investment products.
