Overview:On behalf of our client, a leading Abu Dhabi-based independent, partner-led global alternative investment manager, we are seeking to appoint an Investment Associate within the Private Credit Funds team.Our client is a rapidly scaled institutional platform with in excess of USD 100 billion in assets under management and more than 200 professionals, deploying capital across buyouts, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets and public markets. The Private Credit Funds team is central to the firm's private markets franchise, executing fund commitments, secondaries and co-investments on a global basis.The RoleThe successful candidate will contribute across the full investment lifecycle for private credit fund commitments, including origination, GP underwriting, execution and ongoing portfolio monitoring. The Associate will work in close cooperation with senior members of the team on capital deployment across geographies and strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment analysis and executionEvaluate prospective private credit fund investments through GP underwriting, strategy due diligence, financial modelling and sector researchPrepare investment committee memoranda and supporting presentation materialsCoordinate due diligence workstreams in conjunction with third-party advisors and legal counselContribute to fund structuring, terms negotiation and documentation reviewPortfolio managementMonitor fund performance, deployment progress and strategy executionPrepare quarterly and ad-hoc reporting for internal and external stakeholdersSupport ongoing risk assessment and valuation proceduresMarket intelligence and sourcingTrack developments across the private credit market and maintain relationships with GPs, placement agents, consultants and investment banksAssist in the sourcing and screening of co-investments, direct and syndicated loan opportunitiesOperationalLiaise with fund operations, legal and compliance functions to ensure the effective execution and monitoring of transactionsContribute to ongoing process improvement across the teamCandidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally within private credit fund primaries or secondaries underwriting; alternatively, private fund primaries or secondaries combined with exposure to private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking or restructuringStrong financial modelling and analytical capabilitiesSound working knowledge of credit documentation and transaction structuringExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholdersAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard financial analysis toolsPrior exposure to multi-asset class investment environments considered advantageousFamiliarity with ADGM, SCA or comparable regulatory frameworks would be beneficialA collaborative, detail-oriented professional able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentThe OpportunityDirect exposure to a leading institutional investor deploying meaningful capital across private credit strategiesBroad mandate spanning fund primaries, secondaries and co-investments – unusual scope at Associate levelFlat, partner-led culture with substantive transaction ownership from an early stageAbu Dhabi base offering tax-free remuneration and international deal exposureOpportunity to join one of the fastest-growing alternative investment platforms in the GCC
