Investment Director – Family OfficeSector Coverage: Multi-Sector – Media, Consumer, Technology, Sports & Other Strategic InvestmentsWe are supporting a prominent Family Office in the UAE with the appointment of an Investment Director to join its investment team.This is a senior investment role with responsibility for identifying, evaluating and executing investments across a diverse, multi-sector portfolio. The mandate is intentionally broad, with particular interest in media, consumer-facing businesses and technology, alongside exposure to sports and other strategic sectors.The successful candidate will combine strong investment fundamentals with the commercial judgement required to assess businesses across different industries, geographies and stages of development.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate and evaluate new investment opportunities across media, consumer, technology, sports and adjacent sectorsLead the full investment lifecycle from initial screening and commercial assessment through to due diligence, valuation, structuring and executionDevelop detailed investment theses and present recommendations to the Investment Committee and Family Office leadershipLead financial modelling, valuation analysis, market assessment and scenario analysisCoordinate financial, commercial, legal and operational due diligenceNegotiate transaction structures and key commercial terms alongside internal and external advisersAssess both financial returns and strategic value when considering investment opportunitiesMonitor existing portfolio companies and provide strategic support to management teamsIdentify opportunities for growth, partnerships, acquisitions and eventual exits across the portfolioBuild and maintain relationships with founders, management teams, advisers, investment banks, funds and other investorsMaintain a strong understanding of emerging investment themes and changing consumer and technology trendsWe are particularly interested in candidates who have:A demonstrable track record of executing investments across multiple sectors, rather than specialising exclusively in one verticalStrong exposure to Media / Entertainment, Consumer and/or Technology investmentsExposure to Sports investments is advantageous but does not need to represent a major proportion of the candidate's careerExperience assessing both established businesses and growth-stage opportunitiesStrong financial modelling, valuation, transaction structuring and due-diligence capabilitiesExperience taking transactions from initial opportunity through to completionStrong commercial judgement and the ability to evaluate opportunities where traditional financial metrics may need to be considered alongside brand, audience, IP or strategic valueExperience working with senior stakeholders, founders and investment committeesInternational investment exposure, ideally including the Middle East, Europe, US or other major markets
