Investment Research Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading Hong Kong-based real estate investment fund management platform as a Research Analyst.Reporting directly to the Head of Research & Investment Strategy, you will play an integral role in supporting investment research, market intelligence and strategic decision-making across the firm's regional real estate investment platform.This is a unique opportunity for an intellectually curious individual to gain exposure beyond traditional market research. Working alongside experienced investment professionals, you will contribute to the firm's house view, support investment strategy discussions and provide the market intelligence that underpins capital deployment decisions across Asia-Pacific.If you enjoy analysing markets, working with data and collaborating with investment professionals, this role offers an exceptional platform to accelerate your career.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Intelligence & Research- Maintain and manage core real estate market datasets across multiple APAC markets, ensuring the integrity, consistency and reliability of research data.- Produce recurring market reports, charts and analytical materials supporting investment decision-making.- Monitor market developments, macroeconomic trends and sector-specific developments relevant to the firm's investment strategy.- Support the preparation of the firm's internal market outlook and investment house view.Investment Strategy Support- Provide research and analytical support for the Investment Strategy Group.- Assist in preparing investment presentations, AGM materials and global investment conference content.- Support regional investment teams by providing timely market intelligence and analytical insights.- Maintain research trackers and internal databases used across the investment platform.Data & Innovation- Act as a key custodian of research data quality, ensuring information is accurate, validated and fit for investment analysis.- Explore opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve research workflows, market monitoring and data management.- Contribute to continuous improvements in research processes and analytical capabilities.

Key Requirements

-We're looking for someone who is naturally analytical, intellectually curious and enjoys solving problems with data.- You don't need to know everything on day one—we're looking for someone who demonstrates the ability to learn quickly, embrace feedback and continuously improve.- 2–4 years of experience in real estate research, investment research, market research or valuation.- Experience gained within a real estate investment manager, property consultancy, brokerage, valuation practice or related organisation.- Strong understanding of real estate market fundamentals, including supply, demand, occupancy, rental and capital market dynamics.- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with meticulous attention to detail.- Strong Excel and presentation skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Good to have::- Exposure to Japanese or Korean real estate markets.- Japanese or Korean language capability.- Experience using AI tools to improve research productivity and workflow efficiency.Candidates based outside Hong Kong who are open to relocation are encouraged to apply.
