An institutional digital asset investment platform is seeking an experienced Portfolio Director to lead investment strategy, fund operations and regulatory oversight across its Abu Dhabi and Dubai-regulated entities.This is a senior, hands-on position with responsibility for capital allocation across quantitative fund-of-funds, DeFi yield and real-world asset strategies. You will oversee position sizing, portfolio rebalancing, risk management and performance while managing the full operational lifecycle of the funds.Key responsibilities include:Developing and executing digital asset investment strategiesManaging fiat and stablecoin on/off-ramping, DeFi execution and investor redemptionsOperating institutional custody infrastructure with transaction approval authorityCompleting daily NAV calculations, reconciliations and operational controlsVerifying on-chain transactions and smart contract interactionsActing as the VARA Responsible Individual and a director of both regulated entitiesEnsuring ongoing compliance with ADGM FSRA and VARA requirementsThe successful candidate will have at least five years’ experience managing discretionary capital or delivering institutional fund operations within portfolio management, proprietary trading or digital asset investment management.You will bring expert knowledge of crypto quantitative strategies, including delta-neutral, basis, carry and perpetuals, alongside strong experience with DeFi lending, staking and yield-generation protocols.Candidates must satisfy FSRA and VARA Fit and Proper requirements and be eligible for approval as both Portfolio Manager and Responsible Individual. Previous approved-person status or direct ADGM/VARA experience would be advantageous.Applicants must already reside in the UAE or be willing to relocate and work full-time in Dubai. A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related discipline is required, with CFA, CAIA or FRM qualifications preferred.
