We are seeking a Finance Analyst – Investments Finance to support forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and business performance management across the Investments business. This role partners closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, improve financial processes, and support key business decisions. It offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop toward a Finance Business Partner career path within the asset management industry.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & ForecastingSupport monthly forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning processes across the Investments business.Develop and maintain workforce and expense forecasts to support business planning activities.Monitor forecast accuracy and identify key drivers impacting financial performance.Assist in long-range planning and scenario analysis exercises.Provide insights that support strategic resource allocation decisions.Financial Reporting & Performance AnalysisPrepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial reports for senior management and executive leadership.Analyze business performance against forecasts, budgets, and strategic targets.Deliver insightful commentary highlighting financial trends, risks, and opportunities.Investigate variances and identify underlying drivers of business performance.Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.Commercial & Strategic AnalysisPerform financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business priorities.Evaluate cost drivers and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and improved resource utilization.Support profitability and expense management reviews.Provide data-driven recommendations that support informed decision-making.Assist with business cases, investment proposals, and financial evaluations.Management Information & Data InsightsDevelop and maintain management information reports, dashboards, and executive reporting packages.Create meaningful visualizations and performance metrics that improve decision-making.Support the enhancement of reporting frameworks and analytical capabilities.Utilize business intelligence tools to generate actionable insights.Improve access to key financial and operational performance indicators.Stakeholder PartnershipPartner with Finance Business Partners and business leaders across the Investments organization.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and financial requirements.Support discussions around financial performance, planning, and strategic priorities.Translate complex financial information into clear and actionable business insights.Provide responsive analytical support to business stakeholders.Process Improvement & Finance TransformationIdentify opportunities to streamline reporting, forecasting, and planning processes.Support finance transformation and efficiency initiatives.Improve data quality, reporting automation, and financial controls.Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing finance operations.Promote best practices that increase accuracy, efficiency, and business value.Cost Management & Resource PlanningSupport workforce planning and headcount analysis activities.Monitor indirect costs, allocations, and operating expenses.Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and productivity improvements.Analyze spending trends and support budget management activities.Ensure appropriate cost governance and financial discipline.Required QualificationsQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Strong accounting, financial analysis, and reporting experience.Experience within asset management, investment management, or broader financial services environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting activities.Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling capabilities.Preferred QualificationsPost-qualification finance experience.Experience supporting executive-level reporting and financial performance analysis.Exposure to business partnering and strategic finance activities.Experience with Power BI, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.Knowledge of investment management business models and cost structures.
