Every hire directly shapes product direction and delivers immediate impact on global financial inclusion.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to lead mobile client development. The product roadmap includes Android and mobile friendly web applications, providing opportunities to expand impact across platforms.You will architect the iOS application, establish engineering standards, and build a high performance, reliable, and secure mobile experience from the ground up. This role may evolve into a mobile lead position across platforms as the organization scales.What We're Looking For5+ years of professional experience building and shipping consumer-facing iOS applicationsExperience in fintech, banking, payments, investing, digital wallets, cryptocurrency, or stablecoinsStrong expertise in native iOS development with SwiftExperience owning or leading the architecture of production iOS applicationsExperience building products from the ground up, preferably in a startup or small, high-autonomy engineering teamStrong understanding of scalable and high-performance mobile architecturesProduction experience with SwiftUIStrong understanding of modern Swift concurrency and asynchronous programmingExcellent understanding of APIs, networking, state management, persistence, and mobile system designStrong engineering judgment and the ability to explain why a particular technical approach is appropriateA product mindset — you care about the user experience, not just the implementationAbility to operate independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environmentWhat You'll DoArchitect and build a high-performance iOS application from the ground upOwn major technical decisions around architecture, scalability, reliability, and maintainabilityBuild secure experiences for authentication, account management, payments, and financial transactionsDevelop modern iOS experiences using Swift and SwiftUI, while leveraging UIKit where appropriateDesign solutions for networking, state management, caching, synchronization, and API failuresEstablish engineering standards, patterns, testing practices, and CI/CD processesWork closely with backend engineers to design APIs and end-to-end product flowsPartner directly with product and design to improve user experience and simplify complex financial workflowsHelp establish the technical foundation that future mobile engineers will build uponContribute beyond the iOS layer when your experience can improve the overall product.Ideal Candidate:Senior iOS Engineer with 6–10 years of experience who has built consumer-facing mobile products, preferably in fintech, payments, wallets, banking, or crypto; has strong Swift and SwiftUI expertise; owns architecture decisions; has startup experience; communicates exceptionally well; can work directly with founders; and is either already in the Bay Area or highly motivated to relocate to San Francisco.
