The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Swift, SwiftUI/UIKit, iOS SDK, modern application architecture, security, performance, testing, and CI/CD, with experience delivering scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable production applications.Required Skills7+ years of software development experience, including significant hands-on experience developing and supporting production iOS applications.Strong proficiency in Swift and the iOS SDK.Strong production experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit, including experience integrating SwiftUI and UIKit in existing applications.Strong understanding of Swift language concepts including protocols, generics, closures, value/reference semantics, optionals, error handling, extensions, and memory ownership.Strong understanding of Swift Concurrency, including async/await, Tasks, structured concurrency, actors, MainActor, task cancellation, thread safety, and race-condition prevention.Strong understanding of ARC, memory management, retain cycles, weak/unowned references, and application object lifecycle.Strong understanding of the iOS application lifecycle, scene lifecycle, UI lifecycle, navigation, state management, and background/foreground behavior.Strong knowledge of SwiftUI state and data flow, including appropriate ownership and lifecycle management of application state.Experience developing complex interfaces using SwiftUI and/or UIKit, including reusable views/components and navigation flows.Experience implementing deep linking and Universal Links.Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and JSON-based backend services.Strong experience with iOS networking technologies such as URLSession and Codable, including authentication, error handling, request cancellation, retries, timeout management, caching, and connectivity considerations.Experience with local persistence and caching using technologies such as Core Data, SwiftData, UserDefaults, file storage, and Keychain.Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, including separation of concerns, dependency injection, state management, modularization, reusable component design, and testability.Experience with architectural/design approaches such as MVVM, MVC, Coordinator, Clean Architecture, or similar patterns.Strong understanding of secure mobile application development, including Keychain, secure credential/token storage, authentication lifecycle, encryption, network security, sensitive-data protection, and secure logging practices.Experience implementing enterprise authentication technologies such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect is highly desirable.Experience with Face ID/Touch ID and LocalAuthentication where appropriate.Strong experience using Xcode, XCTest, Git, Instruments, Memory Graph, crash diagnostics, and iOS debugging/profiling tools.Experience diagnosing and resolving memory leaks, retain cycles, performance bottlenecks, application crashes, threading issues, and main-thread blocking.Experience developing unit, integration, and UI tests and designing application components for automated testability.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, automated testing, application signing, certificates, provisioning, entitlements, and application deployment.Experience with TestFlight and App Store application release processes.Experience with Swift Package Manager and management of internal and third-party dependencies.Familiarity with push notifications, application analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, feature flags, and application monitoring.Understanding of iOS accessibility, localization, Dynamic Type, privacy, and Apple platform design considerations.Strong production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.Experience conducting code reviews and contributing to application architecture and technical design decisions.Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and promote engineering standards and development best practices.Excellent problem-solving, ownership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
