Senior iOS Software Development EngineerA leading financial services provider is seeking a high level iOS Software Development Engineer to join their mobile engineering division in Chicago. This is a leadership position for a professional who enjoys hands on coding while guiding a team to deliver high quality mobile solutions. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for mobile applications, ensuring all projects meet rigorous specifications and deadlines.The role involves managing the full mobile software lifecycle, from initial design to release and production support. You will be responsible for creating scalable, resilient, and testable code while mentoring other developers and collaborating with cross functional teams including UX designers and product managers.Core ResponsibilitiesLead development teams through all Agile lifecycle phasesProvide technical leadership for iOS apps using SwiftUI, Swift, and UIKitConduct expert code reviews across multiple build teamsDefine technical requirements for features based on business needsEnsure all development meets established security and architecture standardsDrive the roadmap for future state technology and architectureTroubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysisMentor junior developers and influence overall code architectureIdentify opportunities for AI integration within developer workflowsParticipate in 24 7 on call rotations as requiredCandidate RequirementsBachelor degree with 4 years of software engineering experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degreeProven track record in mobile application development for iOSStrong background in object oriented design and development patternsExpertise in Swift and SwiftUIExperience with library or framework distributionFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and JSONHistory of working in continuous integration and deployment environmentsStrong communication skills for both technical and non technical audiencesAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmentCompensation and BenefitsThe annual salary range for this position is between 100,000 and 170,000 dollars, depending on experience and location. The role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.This company offers a flexible work model where employees can choose to work from home or in a physical hub.
