We are seeking an experienced and hands-on IoT & AI Integration Lead to design and deliver the company’s connected device and analytics solutions, build technical capability internally, and act as the nominated certified resource with our equipment and platform partners. This role requires a practical engineer who works in the field and owns a deployment from site survey through to acceptance. The scope covers wireless connectivity, sensors and tracking devices, video analytics, and the device data layer that business systems consume. The role also carries direct customer exposure through pilots, demonstrations, and technical support to business development.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and deploy low-power wide-area connectivity, principally LoRaWAN, including site survey, gateway placement, coverage and link budget planning, network server configuration, device provisioning, and RF troubleshooting.Select the right connectivity technology for each use case across LoRaWAN, cellular NB-IoT and LTE-M, 5G RedCap, Wi-Fi HaLow, Bluetooth LE, Thread, and satellite NTN for remote assets, and justify the choice based on coverage, power, cost, and data profile.Specify, test, and commission sensors, gateways, and tracking devices for asset tracking, telematics, environmental and utility monitoring, cold chain, occupancy, and indoor positioning using BLE, UWB, and GNSS.Deploy and tune video analytics on live sites, covering camera and edge hardware selection, ONVIF and RTSP stream configuration, detection zones and rules, false alarm reduction, and acceptance testing against agreed accuracy criteria.Own the device data layer, including payload decoders, MQTT topic design, device APIs, time-series storage, alerting logic, and operational dashboards, and keep that data clean, documented, and reliable.Enable business system and ERP integration by defining the data model, publishing interface and payload specifications, providing test data and sandbox access, and supporting the integration and software team through build, testing, and troubleshooting.Manage the device estate across its lifecycle, covering remote device management and over-the-air firmware updates, certificate and identity handling, network segmentation, connectivity and SIM management, power and battery planning, and spares strategy.Plan and run customer pilots, proof-of-concept deployments, and live demonstrations for prospective clients and Group companies, from scoping through to results presentation.Complete partner training and certification programs, serve as the company’s nominated technical resource with vendors, and retain that knowledge inside the company.Produce technical designs for business development, including architecture, bill of materials, effort and cost estimates, risk assessment, and technical content for proposals and tenders.Evaluate emerging connectivity, edge computing, and analytics technologies, and maintain as-built records, runbooks, reference architectures, and reusable deployment templates.Required Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, or Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications/certifications.Minimum 8–10 years of proven practical experience in technical solution delivery, of which at least 3 years delivering IoT projects that reached live production rather than pilots alone.Strong hands-on LoRaWAN experience covering gateways, network server platforms such as ChirpStack or The Things Stack, device onboarding, ADR tuning, and payload decoders.Practical working knowledge of cellular IoT, including NB-IoT and LTE-M, connectivity and eSIM management, and awareness of 5G RedCap and satellite NTN as they apply to asset tracking and remote monitoring.Demonstrated delivery of video analytics or computer vision in live environments, including edge inference hardware, camera integration over ONVIF and RTSP, model and rule tuning, and measured accuracy outcomes.Solid command of MQTT, including topic design and structured payload conventions, together with REST APIs, JSON, webhook-based integration, and practical Python for data handling and automation.Experience with short-range and positioning technologies such as Bluetooth LE, UWB, Thread, and GNSS, and with industrial and building protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and OPC UA.Working knowledge of time-series data platforms, visualization and workflow tools such as Grafana or Node-RED, Linux administration, containers, and cloud or on-premise deployment.Practical understanding of security and device lifecycle management, covering device identity and certificates, secure provisioning, over-the-air updates, and network segmentation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic, with the ability to present technical solutions to both engineering and executive audiences.Willingness to work in the field, including site visits, commissioning, and travel, with a valid driving license, and the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
