The Irrigation Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing irrigation systems for agricultural, landscaping, or commercial projects, ensuring efficient water distribution and resource use. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, preparing technical drawings and specifications, selecting appropriate irrigation equipment, and overseeing installation and maintenance activities. The role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing schedules to align with environmental conditions and project requirements. The Irrigation Engineer will collaborate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and clients, while ensuring compliance with relevant standards, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.QualificationsStrong technical background in irrigation engineering, agricultural engineering, or a related field, with experience in designing and implementing irrigation systems.Proficiency in using design and layout tools for preparing irrigation plans, schematics, and documentation.Applied knowledge of hydraulics, water management, soil and plant water requirements, and pump and piping systems.Experience with on-site supervision, system installation, commissioning, and maintenance of irrigation networks.Ability to conduct site inspections, performance evaluations, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.Understanding of local regulations, environmental standards, and best practices related to water conservation and sustainable irrigation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills, with attention to detail and time management.Capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders in an on-site environment in Al Ain.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline; relevant certifications in irrigation or water management are beneficial.Previous experience in GCC or similar climates and familiarity with region-specific irrigation challenges are an asset.
