In this role, you will oversee the planning, design, and implementation of irrigation systems for urban development projects. You will serve as a technical lead within the PMO, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while supporting the city's sustainable water management objectives.Manage and coordinate irrigation engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with urban planning objectives and regulatory requirementsDevelop and review technical specifications, design drawings, and engineering documentation for irrigation systems using industry-standard software and toolsAnalyze water resource requirements and design efficient irrigation solutions that optimize water usage and support sustainability goalsCoordinate with cross-functional teams including urban planners, contractors, environmental specialists, and government stakeholders to ensure project successMonitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation; identify risks and implement mitigation strategiesConduct site assessments and feasibility studies for irrigation infrastructure in urban environmentsPrepare comprehensive project reports, progress updates, and performance metrics for senior management and stakeholdersEnsure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in irrigation engineeringMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on project-related challengesParticipate in project governance meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement within the PMOQualificationsMinimum 7 years of professional experience in irrigation engineering or related water management projectsProven experience working within a Project Management Office or similar project governance environmentStrong knowledge of irrigation system design, hydraulics, and water distribution technologiesProficiency with CAD, BIM, and GIS software applicationsDemonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and toolsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailExperience managing budgets and resources for large-scale infrastructure projectsKnowledge of urban planning principles and sustainable water management practicesFamiliarity with Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and environmental standards (preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferredAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural team environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management softwareProfessional certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or irrigation engineering is preferred
