The role supports users through phone, email, remote, and in-person assistance, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and enterprise application issues while documenting incidents and escalating complex matters when required.Based in Madrid, the IT Administrator provides on-site and remote support across IREN Spain and collaborates with the global IT team to deliver consistent, secure, and reliable IT services. The role contributes to infrastructure maintenance, system administration, security and compliance practices, and IT project execution, working effectively in both Spanish and English.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the IT Manager, the IT Administrator is responsible for:Provide first-level technical support to employees in Spanish and English through phone, email, remote, and in-person channels, ensuring timely resolution of IT-related queries and a positive user experience.Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues, resolving standard incidents directly and escalating complex problems to senior IT team members when required.Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud systems, end-user devices, and related services, to support reliable operations across IREN Spain.Support the administration of enterprise applications and platforms, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra, SharePoint, Defender, Sentinel, and virtualization environments.Perform routine system updates, patching, backups, and basic security checks in line with IT standards, helping safeguard data integrity, system reliability, and compliance requirements.Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, deployments, infrastructure improvements, and technology rollouts, contributing to consistent implementation across the region.Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and IT processes to strengthen knowledge sharing, service continuity, and operational efficiency.Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and the global IT team under IT Manager supervision to coordinate issue resolution, service delivery, and regional support needs.Requirements3–5 years of experience in IT administration, system support, service desk, infrastructure support, or network management roles.Fluent English, with the ability to provide technical support and communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders.Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Active Directory, Entra, SharePoint, Defender, Sentinel, and related collaboration and security tools.Basic knowledge of Linux environments, networking protocols, cloud services, virtualization platforms, and common enterprise IT infrastructure components.Experience with networking and firewall configuration is highly valued, together with the ability to diagnose connectivity and security-related issues.IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent credentials are valued.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.CompensationCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience.Short-term and long-term incentive programs may be included as part of the total compensation package.Health & WellnessMedical, dental and insurance coverage.Wellhub: access to gyms, fitness classes and wellness services.Pluxee: flexible benefits for meals, transportation and childcare expenses.
