The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, networking, system administration, and cyber security practices.The candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, monitoring system security, protecting company data, and supporting employees with day-to-day IT requirements. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to IT security.Key Responsibilities:IT Hardware & Technical SupportInstall, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT hardwareDiagnose and resolve hardware failures, system issues, and technical problemsManage desktops, laptops, monitors, network devices, and other IT equipmentPerform hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenanceMaintain proper records of IT assets and equipmentCoordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs and technical supportEnsure IT equipment is properly configured and securedSoftware & system Administration:Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems and business softwareManage Windows-based systems, applications, drivers, and security updatesTroubleshoot software errors, application issues, and system performance problemsManage user accounts, permissions, passwords, and access rightsMonitor software licensing and ensure authorized software is being usedMaintain regular system updates, patches, and backupsSupport employees with day-to-day software and IT-related issuesCyber Security:Monitor company systems, networks, and devices for potential security threatsImplement and maintain antivirus, endpoint protection, firewall, and other security solutionsEnsure computers and servers are protected against malware, ransomware, phishing, and unauthorized accessMonitor suspicious activities, security alerts, and potential cyber incidentsPerform regular security checks and vulnerability assessmentsEnsure operating systems and applications are regularly patched and updatedImplement basic security controls for company devices and user accountsEducate employees regarding phishing, password security, email security, and safe internet practicesAssist in investigating and responding to cyber security incidentsMaintain confidentiality and security of company dataNetwork & Infrastructure:Configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and network connectionsMonitor network performance and connectivityAssist with firewall configuration and network securityManage basic TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network troubleshootingTroubleshoot internet, email, printer, and connectivity-related issuesEnsure secure access to company networks and systemsBackup & Data Security:Maintain regular backups of important company dataMonitor backup status and troubleshoot backup failuresAssist in data recovery when requiredEnsure sensitive company information is properly protectedImplement basic access control and data security proceduresMaintain secure storage and handling of company IT informationIT Monitoring & ReprotingMonitor IT systems, computers, network devices, and security toolsMaintain records of technical issues, incidents, repairs, and resolutionsPrepare IT maintenance and security reports when requiredMaintain an updated inventory of hardware, software, licenses, and IT assetsIdentify recurring technical or security issues and recommend improvementsEscalate major technical failures or cyber security incidents to managementIT Policies & ComplianceFollow and implement company IT security policies and proceduresEnsure users follow acceptable-use, password, email, and device-security policiesMaintain proper documentation of IT systems and configurationsAssist management in improving overall IT security and infrastructureEnsure company systems and data are handled securely and confidentiallyEducation:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related fieldIT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or equivalent are preferredExperience:2–5 years of proven experience in IT support, system administration, network support, or cyber securityStrong hands-on experience with computer hardware and software troubleshootingExperience with Windows operating systems and business applicationsExperience with networking, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and firewallsExperience with antivirus, endpoint security, backups, and system monitoringExperience in identifying and handling basic cyber security threats is preferredTechnical Skills:Strong knowledge of computer hardware, laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheralsGood knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft OfficeGood understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, and VPNKnowledge of routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and firewall configurationKnowledge of antivirus and endpoint protection solutionsUnderstanding of malware, ransomware, phishing, social engineering, and common cyber attacksKnowledge of system patching, updates, backups, and access controlBasic knowledge of server administration is preferredKnowledge of Microsoft 365 / cloud-based applications is preferredAbility to troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and security issues independentlyCyber Security Knowledge:Basic understanding of cyber security principles and best practicesAbility to identify suspicious emails, phishing attempts, malware, and unauthorized accessKnowledge of endpoint security and firewall protectionUnderstanding of user access management and password securityKnowledge of vulnerability management and security monitoring is preferredAbility to respond to basic security incidents and escalate serious incidents appropriatelySkillsStrong technical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent
