This role will focus on the lifecycle management of IT assets, as well as providing hands-on support for end-user devices in a field environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hardware, software, asset tracking systems, and exceptional problem-solving skills to ensure optimal functionality of IT resources.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Asset ManagementMaintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and warranties.Track the entire lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to decommissioning.Ensure compliance with company policies and software licensing agreements.Perform periodic audits to validate asset accuracy and prevent discrepancies.Collaborate with procurement and finance teams for asset purchases, renewals, and budget planning.Desktop Field SupportProvide hands-on technical support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices in the field or office environment.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.Assist with device setup, deployment, and configuration, including imaging and software installations.Perform hardware repairs and replacements as needed.Coordinate with remote support teams for advanced troubleshooting and escalations.Process Improvement and ReportingDevelop and implement best practices for asset management and desktop support procedures.Generate regular reports on asset utilization, lifecycle status, and performance metrics.Identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.Collaboration and CommunicationAct as a liaison between IT, end-users, and vendors for asset-related and technical support needs.Provide training and guidance to users on proper device usage and troubleshooting.Support IT projects related to system upgrades, rollouts, and migrations.Qualifications and SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management and desktop support roles. (Senior 5+ yrs; Regular 3-5)Familiarity with IT Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, or similar).Proven track record in hardware/software troubleshooting and repair.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and basic network troubleshooting.Knowledge of ITIL practices is preferred.Experience with imaging tools and endpoint management systems (e.g., SCCM, Intune).Soft Skills:Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
