Your JobLead the organization’s IT Asset Management (ITAM), configuration management, discovery, and service dependency mapping capabilities across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, governance, and operational value of IT asset and configuration data throughout the lifecycle. It provides managerial and technical leadership for the Device42 platform, ensuring reliable discovery, CMDB quality, application dependency mapping, integrations, audit readiness, capacity insights, and informed decision-making across infrastructure and digital services. IT Asset Management Leadership & Governance • Define and maintain the enterprise IT Asset Management strategy, policies, standards, procedures, operating model, and control framework aligned with ITIL practices and organizational governance. • Own the end-to-end lifecycle for hardware, virtual, cloud, network, storage, software, and other technology assets from planning and acquisition through deployment, operation, transfer, refresh, retirement, and secure disposal. • Establish asset ownership, custodianship, classification, naming, tagging, criticality, status, location, warranty, contract, financial, and lifecycle data standards. • Lead the IT Assets team, allocate responsibilities, set objectives, manage performance, develop skills, and ensure effective operational coverage and succession. • Chair data-quality and asset-governance reviews and drive corrective actions with infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, procurement, finance, and service owners.Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous. • Typically 8–12 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, IT asset management, configuration management, discovery, or IT service management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. • Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Device42 in a large, complex enterprise environment, including discovery, Remote Collectors, business applications, dependency mapping, reporting, APIs, and integrations. • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise CMDB quality, asset lifecycle controls, configuration relationships, and cross-functional remediation programs. • Experience integrating Device42 with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, monitoring, vulnerability, automation, virtualization, cloud, or reporting platforms is strongly preferred. • Experience in government, financial services, insurance, or another regulated/critical-service environment is preferred. Required Technical Competencies • Advanced Device42 administration: appliance and Remote Collector management, discovery methods, credentials, schedules, permissions, affinities, tags, custom fields, business applications, service instances, dashboards, reporting, API usage, backups, upgrades, and troubleshooting. • Discovery and dependency mapping across VMware, Windows, Linux, network, storage, databases, middleware, containers, and public/private cloud platforms. • ITAM and ITIL configuration-management practices, CI lifecycle, data models, identification, normalization, reconciliation, federation, ownership, baselines, and CMDB health controls. • Enterprise infrastructure concepts including compute, virtualization, operating systems, storage, backup, networking, load balancing, databases, middleware, containers, cloud, and security controls. • ITSM and CMDB integration, preferably with ServiceNow and/or BMC Remedy, including field mapping, source-of-truth design, synchronization, reconciliation, and error monitoring. • REST APIs, JSON, SQL/reporting concepts, PowerShell or Python automation, dashboarding, and data quality analysis. • Asset audit, hardware/software lifecycle, licensing, warranties, contracts, end-of-life/end-of-support management, risk reporting, and secure disposal controls. Qualifications: MBA / B.Tech / Any Graduation Skills: Device42 Administration, Discovery, CMDB, and Service Dependency Mapping
