IT Availability & Disaster Recovery ManagerDXC Technology | Saudi Arabia | On-siteExperience: 7+ yearsRole SummaryDXC Technology is seeking an IT Availability & Disaster Recovery Manager to govern service availability and disaster recovery readiness across a large enterprise environment. You will maintain recovery plans for critical services, coordinate DR tests, measure recovery performance, and work with technical teams to address resilience risks.This is a service management role. Technical teams carry out infrastructure changes and failover activities; the manager coordinates readiness, testing, reporting, and follow-up.Key ResponsibilitiesDisaster Recovery and ContinuityMaintain approved disaster recovery plans and runbooks for critical IT services.Plan and coordinate scheduled DR tests with infrastructure, storage, database, and application teams.Define test objectives, document results, and track actions arising from unsuccessful tests.Measure recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) against agreed targets.Work with business continuity stakeholders to align IT recovery plans with continuity needs.Availability and ResilienceMonitor availability against agreed service targets and investigate periods of downtime.Produce availability reports covering incidents, root causes, trends, and improvement actions.Identify single points of failure and maintain a register of continuity and availability risks.Recommend resilience improvements and track their progress through service improvement plans.Governance and AuditKeep DR plans, test records, approvals, and remediation evidence current.Support audits by providing evidence of recovery planning, testing, and control effectiveness.Ensure recovery documentation is reviewed following significant service or infrastructure changes.Required Experience and Qualifications9+ years of experience in IT service management or infrastructure operations, including 3+ years in disaster recovery, IT service continuity, or availability management.Experience coordinating enterprise DR plans and tests across multiple technical teams.Strong working knowledge of RTO, RPO, failover testing, and resilience risk assessment.Experience monitoring service availability and reporting against agreed targets.Working knowledge of ITIL 4 availability management and IT service continuity practices.ITIL 4 Foundation certification.Strong stakeholder coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.Preferred ExperienceFamiliarity with DR technologies such as Zerto, OCI Full Stack Disaster Recovery, Oracle Data Guard, or Azure Site Recovery.Experience with Dynatrace, ServiceNow, or similar monitoring and service management tools.Knowledge of ISO 22301.ISO 22301, BCI, or relevant DR technology certification.What We Are Looking ForA manager who can keep recovery plans practical and current, coordinate meaningful DR tests, and give stakeholders a clear view of service availability and resilience risks.
