IT Consultant (Automation & AI Integration)

We are looking for a tech-savvy, passionate IT Consultant to help our client's team streamline, automate, and revolutionize our digital workflows. This role focuses on hands-on coding capability, problem-solving grit, and a true "geek" mindset to constantly tinker with and improve technology. The consultant will be responsible for creating elegant technical solutions to repetitive problems, building custom scripts, and integrating new AI tools and APIs over a project duration of approximately 6 monthsResponsibilitiesDesign & Build Automations: Analyze current team workflows and develop customized, automated digital solutions to eliminate manual tasks.Custom Coding: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code (primarily in Python) to bridge gaps between different software systems.API Integration: Connect disparate platforms and applications by setting up, testing, and maintaining robust API integrations.AI Implementation: Explore, test, and integrate modern AI tools (like LLMs, automation platforms, or low-code/no-code AI features) to make workflows smarter.Troubleshooting & Optimization: Maintain existing automated workflows, troubleshoot bugs, and continuously optimize performance.Tech Advocacy: Act as the team’s go-to tech expert, suggesting new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve digital efficiency.Required skillsCoding Proficiency: Strong foundational knowledge of Python (or similar scripting languages) with a portfolio of custom projects, scripts, or tools built.API Knowledge: Proven capability to work with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and data formats like JSON/XML.Tech-Savvy & AI Literate: Deep interest in the latest technological trends, including hands-on experience or experimentation with AI tools and prompt engineering.Workflow Automation Tools: Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., Google Appscript, Make.com, Zapier, n8n, or Microsoft Power Automate).Problem-Solving & Communication: A natural curiosity to deconstruct complex workflows, rebuild them efficiently, and translate non-technical pain points into technical solutions.Required experienceShowcases 1–3 years of demonstrated professional experience.Highly values personal projects, GitHub repositories, hackathon participation, or freelance work over years spent sitting in an office.Has led transformation projects focused on digital workflow automation and software systems integration.Brings experience in scripting, setting up API integrations, or deploying low-code/no-code AI featuresRequired educationUndergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or similar technical field.Relevant technical certifications or a strong portfolio of open-source contributions/GitHub repositories preferred.
