IT Consultant – IT Cost Optimization (Contract role)Riyadh, Saudi Arabia | On-site, Full-time | 3-4 Month Contract | Immediate StartRole Overview:We're looking for an IT Consultant to join a cost optimization engagement with a top consulting firm, focused on identifying waste and inefficiency across IT spend (CapEx & OpEx). This is not a procurement or vendor-negotiation role, we need someone who understands banking IT environments deeply enough to assess whether solutions are being used effectively, over-provisioned, redundant, or could run better with improved processes. You'll translate technical and operational findings into clear, data-driven recommendations for senior stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Review the bank's IT architecture and application landscape, what's deployed, how it's used, and which banking products run on which platformsAssess IT solutions and infrastructure for waste, redundancy, underutilization, and process inefficienciesAnalyze usage and consumption data (licenses, infrastructure capacity, cloud usage, support tickets) to detect overuse, underuse, and optimization potentialBreak down IT cost structures into cost drivers, distinguishing fixed vs. variable costs and root causes of inefficiencyEngage with internal IT stakeholders to validate findings and understand how systems are actually used day-to-dayBuild clear, data-driven business cases and savings trackers to quantify opportunitiesSupport implementation follow-up, tracking savings realization and flagging risksWhat We're Looking For:4-6+ years as a Technology/IT Business Analyst, IT Consultant, or similar role within banking or financial services , assessing IT systems, usage, and cost efficiency (not primarily vendor sourcing/procurement)Strong understanding of banking IT architecture and how business/technical teams actually use systemsProven ability to identify inefficiencies and translate technical findings into business recommendationsComfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and C-level executivesAdvanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; able to build presentations and business cases independentlyBachelor's/Master's in IT, Engineering, Business, or FinanceFluent English (Arabic a plus)If you match the above and are interested, hit the APPLY button!
