IT/Cyber Security Director (Manufacturing)

A major client of ours has a need for an IT/Cyber Security Director for their Yaphank, NY location. This is a permanent role and will initially be onsite with some flexibility in the future.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all IT functions, including infrastructure, servers, networking, cybersecurity, business applications, laptops/desktops, printers, and telecommunicationsEnsure compliance with CMMC, NIST 800-171, and other applicable defense-industry cybersecurity frameworksDevelop and maintain the organization’s IT roadmap, aligning technology initiatives with business objectivesLead and mentor a small IT team, fostering collaboration and accountabilityManage relationships with third-party IT vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality delivery and valueOversee project execution for all technology initiatives, upgrades, and integrationsMaintain and improve systems reliability, data integrity, and business continuityProvide executive-level visibility into IT performance, risks, and opportunitiesEstablish and maintain IT policies, standards, and governance proceduresSupport end users with efficient, customer-focused serviceCompliance with Quality Management System proceduresRequired Skills:Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field preferred5+ years of IT management experience, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environmentsDemonstrated understanding of CMMC/NIST cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory complianceProven experience managing infrastructure, cloud environments, and network securityFamiliarity with DoD CMMC compliance and NIST frameworkStrong track record in strategic planning, budgeting, and vendor managementExcellent project management and people leadership skillsAbility to travel up to 1-2 days a month to support remote operations or partner sitesStrong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levelsDesired Skills:Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, or hybrid environments
