IT DeveloperWest Midlands – HybridCompetitive salaryNigel Frank is supporting an established professional services organisation with the recruitment of an IT Developer to join its internal technology team.This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with strong Microsoft Power Platform experience who is ready to take greater ownership of business-critical systems and solutions. You will work across Power Platform, case-management technology and wider business applications, helping the organisation automate processes, improve efficiency and deliver a better experience for its users.The role offers a varied mixture of application development, workflow automation, system integration and technical problem-solving. You will work closely with colleagues and business stakeholders to understand their requirements, recommend suitable solutions and take development work through from initial scoping to delivery.What you’ll be doing:Developing and maintaining solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate, with potential exposure to Power BI.Building applications and automated processes to improve business efficiency and user experience.Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.Developing and supporting workflows, templates, scripts and data structures within case-management systems.Building integrations between Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and third-party systems using APIs and Dataverse.Developing and maintaining .NET applications, modules and extensions.Working with SQL and relational databases, including writing queries and understanding data structures.Troubleshooting issues across Power Platform, databases, integrations and wider application environments.Producing technical documentation and carrying out thorough testing.Following appropriate development, version-control, security and quality standards.What we’re looking for:Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.Experience building applications, automations or technical solutions from scratch.Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, Dataverse or third-party platforms.A development background using .NET, C# or a similar object-oriented language.An understanding of software-development lifecycles, version control and testing practices.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders and translate business requirements.The ability to manage your own workload, use your initiative and deliver work without requiring constant direction.Experience with VisualFiles, Intapp or another case-management or workflow platform would be beneficial, but it is not essential.Working arrangements:The position is based in the West Midlands and offers hybrid working. You should expect to attend the office approximately three to four days per week during probation, reducing to around two days per week afterwards.Due to the office location and limited nearby public transport, candidates will ideally need to drive or have a reliable way of travelling to the site.
