(STS)Smyrna, TNAbout STSSpecialized Transportation Services, Inc. has been providing dedicated fleet transportation services to major manufacturing customers since 1995, based in Smyrna, TN.Position SummarySTS is seeking an IT Director to take ownership of both day-to-day IT help desk activities and the company's broader technology strategy. This is a true player-coach role, balancing direct employee support (helpdesk, systems troubleshooting, equipment) with strategic work, technology roadmap, security, infrastructure planning, and vendor management. This role reports directly to the CEO.Compensation: $95,000-$130,000, based on experienceKey ResponsibilitiesHands-On IT Support●       Serve as the primary point of contact for employee IT and helpdesk requests●       Maintain and troubleshoot company systems, hardware, and software●       Manage day-to-day IT operations across office and terminal locationsStrategic IT Leadership●       Develop and execute a long-term technology roadmap for the company●       Own IT security, including data protection, backup, and disaster recovery planning●       Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers●       Lead technology projects from planning through implementation (system upgrades, software rollouts, infrastructure improvements)●       Ensure systems supporting core operations (dispatch, ELD/compliance, customer EDI) run reliably and scale with growth●       Identify opportunities to use technology to improve efficiency, safety, and customer serviceQualifications●       Prior experience in an IT leadership or senior IT generalist role, ideally within trucking, logistics, or a similarly operations-intensive industry●       Experience with transportation-specific systems a strong plus (TMS/dispatch software, ELD, EDI)●       Strong vendor management and project management skills●       Ability to communicate technology decisions clearly to non-technical leadership and staff●       Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency (automation, documentation, support) a plusTo ApplyPlease send your resume to ramsey.hassan@shipsts.com.
