The IT Director is the single point of accountability for Information Technology in the United States and the bridge between the local business and Global IT. The role consolidates and represents regional business requirements within the global roadmap and guarantees the continuity and performance of the systems that run the US commercial engine - EDI with key retail partners, 3PL and e-commerce interfaces, Shopify platform, regional data and analytics, retail systems localization, and the local IT vendor and helpdesk ecosystem.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Requirements & Global CoordinationCollect, qualify and prioritize IT requirements across all US business functions (Sales, Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service).Act as the primary interface with Global IT: represent regional priorities in the global roadmap, build business cases, and align local initiatives with global architecture, security and governance standards.Translate business needs into functional requirements and drive delivery with central teams and third parties, avoiding local shadow-IT solutions.EDI & Wholesale Partners IntegrationOwn the technical relationship with strategic EDI partners: Amazon, Macy's and other key wholesale and retail accounts, including onboarding of new trading partners and new document sets.Ensure end-to-end reliability of EDI flows (POs, order acknowledgements, ASN, invoices, inventory) in line with each partner's specifications, routing guides and SLAs; drive root-cause analysis on failures and compliance chargebacks.Manage EDI providers/VANs and the mapping backlog, coordinating testing and certification with partners and internal teams.Interface Ownership – 3PL & E-commerceHold end-to-end ownership of all regional system interfaces: ERP to 3PL/WMS, SAP ERP to e-commerce, marketplaces, carriers, payment and returns flows.Guarantee data integrity and timeliness across orders, inventory, shipping confirmations and financial postings; establish monitoring, alerting and escalation paths so issues are detected before the business is impacted.Lead incident and problem management on interfaces, coordinating internal teams, 3PL IT and vendors through to resolution.E-commerce Technology Support (Shopify)Provide day-to-day technical support for the Shopify platform: apps and plugins, third-party integrations, releases, performance and stability.Partner with the digital/e-commerce team and external Shopify agencies on enhancement delivery, and safeguard platform readiness for peak trading periods (promotions, seasonal peaks, holiday).Regional Data & AnalyticsOwn data and analytics for the region: ensure quality, consistency and availability of commercial, retail and supply chain data-feeding regional reporting.Manage the local BI and reporting landscape, aligning regional dashboards and KPI definitions with global data models and a single source of truth; act as regional referent for data governance, access management and privacy compliance.Retail Systems: Localization & CustomizationSupervise and govern any localization or customization of the retail area (POS, store systems, omnichannel, clienteling) driven by US market specifics, including tax, payment, promotional and fiscal requirements.Assess each change request for local fit and global impact, keeping deviations from the global template deliberate, documented and maintainable, and coordinate design, testing, rollout and post-go-live support with global IT, retail operations and vendors.Local IT Vendor & Helpdesk ManagementSelect, contract and manage local IT vendors and managed service providers, governing SLAs, performance reviews, escalations and invoicing.Oversee the local helpdesk and end-user support service, ensuring responsive resolution, and manage regional infrastructure, devices and asset lifecycle.Own the regional IT budget and procurement in coordination with Global IT and Finance.REQUIREMENTSExperience: 10+ years in IT with at least 3 in a regional or managerial role within a multinational, matrixed organization with omnichannel experience - integrating e-commerce, retail, and wholesale through a unified backend and logistics infrastructure, including an order management system (OMS).Technical: Hands-on knowledge of EDI standards and retail partner compliance; ERP–WMS/3PL integration; middleware and API-based integrations; Shopify experience is a must; SAP ERP, BI/reporting platforms and data governance; exposure to POS and store technology.Managerial: Proven vendor and budget management, IT service management (ITIL-oriented), and delivery of projects across distributed teams and time zones.Behavioral: Strong business partnering and stakeholder management, pragmatic problem solving under operational pressure, and fluent English (additional languages a plus).Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.
