IT Functional Analyst

Job summary IT Functional analyst is responsible for acting as a bridge between business stake holders and IT Delivery teams, ensuring that business requirements are clearly captured, documented, analyzed and translated to effective technology solution. The role focus on IT department and project functional analysis, Policy documentation of department, project documentation, process design, stakeholder coordination, training and governance support across enterprise business applications. Job Description 1) Functional Analysis & Business RequirementsConduct business process analysis and requirements gathering (workshops, interviews, document reviews)Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)Develop use cases and functional scenariosValidate requirements with business owners and ensure traceability2) Project Documentation & GovernanceDevelop and maintain project documentation (project charters, scope documents, functional specifications, test scenarios, UAT documentation)Prepare and maintain RACI matricesEnsure documentation aligns with IT governance and audit requirements3) Process Mapping & ImprovementAnalyze existing business processes and design optimized process flowsPrepare process flow diagrams using standard tools (e.g., Visio)Identify automation and system enhancement opportunities4) Project & Delivery SupportSupport project managers in planning, coordination, tracking actions, and managing documentation deliverablesCoordinate with technical teams, vendors, and system integrators to clarify requirements and solution design5) Meetings, Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate and facilitate departmental meetings, project workshops, and requirement review sessionsPrepare Minutes of Meeting (MoM) and maintain action plansAct as a central point of coordination between business users, business applications team, and vendors6) Testing, Training & Change EnablementCoordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test case preparation, and executionDevelop training materials, user guides, and functional documentationConduct end user training sessions and knowledge transfer workshopsSupport post go-live stabilization and user adoption7) Business Applications Team SupportSupport day-to-day coordination of the Business Applications teamAssist in managing enhancement and change requestsContribute to continuous improvement of application usage, data quality, and business efficiencyPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related fieldProject Management CertificationMinimum 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional AnalystProven experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution implementationStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills
