Apply & track with Apply EdgeI'm working with a growing UK bank that's looking for an IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer to join its technology team.This is a broad, hands-on role that goes well beyond a traditional service desk position. You'll be providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line technical support, while also taking responsibility for key IT operations, including backup and replication, patch management and vulnerability remediation.You'll be working across a varied technology environment, supporting users and systems, resolving technical issues and helping maintain the availability, security and resilience of the Bank's IT estate, working in a friendly, collaborative team!Role -Providing hands-on 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support across hardware, software, infrastructure and applicationsTroubleshooting Windows, Microsoft 365, Exchange and Azure-related issuesMonitoring and operating backup and replication routines across on-premises and Azure environmentsCarrying out daily patch checks and deploying approved patchesInvestigating and remediating vulnerabilities identified through scanning, penetration testing and auditSupporting endpoint protection, email filtering and other security toolingAssisting with application releases, system upgrades and IT projectsWorking with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues and deliver fixesMaintaining technical documentation and supporting IT reportingRequirements - Several years' experience in a hands-on IT support, infrastructure or IT operations roleExperience providing 2nd line support, ideally with some 3rd line exposureStrong Windows desktop and Windows Server knowledgeExperience with Microsoft 365, Exchange / Exchange Online and Microsoft AzurePractical experience with enterprise backup and restore solutionsExperience of vulnerability management, patching and remediation in a production environmentGood understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCPStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across a broad technology estateExcellent communication skills and a customer-focused approachExperience within financial services, particularly a smaller bank or financial institution, would be highly beneficial.Experience with Tenable, Arcserve, Intune, VMware, SharePoint or Zscaler would also be useful, although equivalent technologies may be considered.This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, likes variety and wants to work in an environment where they can make a real contribution across IT support, infrastructure and security.Send me a message or apply to find out more!
