IT Network Security Officer

Job Purpose:The role supports the organization's cybersecurity and business continuity objectives by maintaining robust network security controls, managing network-related security incidents, and ensuring the resilience and availability of critical network services.Key Responsibilities:Implement, administer, and monitor network security controls in compliance with ISO 27001 standards.Manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, 27001, NCA, wireless security, DNS, DHCP, and remote access solutions.Maintain secure network segmentation, access controls, routing policies, and traffic filtering.Monitor and respond to network security incidents, perform investigations, and coordinate remediation activities with relevant IT teams.Ensure continuous network visibility through log management, SIEM integration, and security monitoring.Conduct security reviews, configuration audits, firewall rule assessments, and vulnerability remediation.Support secure connectivity for third parties, cloud environments, VPNs, and disaster recovery infrastructure.Participate in change management by assessing security impacts of network modifications and deployments.Maintain network security documentation, incident records, and audit evidence.Collaborate with IT Governance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.5–8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration and network security operations.Strong experience with firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs, wireless networks, and secure connectivity.
