Apply & track with Apply EdgeIT Project ManagerLocation: Basildon, Essex – hybrid workingSalary: Up to £50,000Contract: PermanentTenth Revolution Group is working with a well-established and growing Managed Service Provider to recruit an experienced IT Project Manager.This is an opportunity to join a successful technology business delivering cloud, infrastructure and managed IT services to clients across the South East and wider UK.The role requires more than traditional project-management experience. The successful candidate must have a solid technical understanding of IT infrastructure and be comfortable working with engineers, assessing customer environments and challenging technical delivery plans when required.The roleYou’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of customer-facing technology projects, with a particular focus on client onboarding, service transitions, infrastructure upgrades and migration activity.Working closely with customers, engineers, technical specialists and third-party suppliers, you’ll ensure projects are properly scoped, planned and delivered within agreed timescales and budgets.Your responsibilities will include:Managing technology projects from initial discovery and planning through to delivery, handover and closureLeading client onboarding, offboarding and IT service-transition projectsCoordinating engineers, technical specialists, suppliers and customer stakeholdersProducing and maintaining project plans, schedules, RAID logs, budgets and status reportsManaging project scope, risks, dependencies, resources and change requestsSupporting technical discovery and assessments of prospective customer environmentsProviding clear updates to customers and senior stakeholdersEnsuring projects meet agreed standards for quality, cost and customer satisfactionSupporting cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades and client-integration projectsWhat we’re looking forThe essential requirement is a combination of technical infrastructure knowledge and recent project-management experience.You may currently be an IT Project Manager, Technical Project Manager or an experienced infrastructure engineer who has moved into project delivery.You should have:Recent experience managing IT infrastructure, cloud, migration or service-transition projectsA previous technical or engineering background, or sufficiently strong technical knowledge to understand and challenge project requirementsGood knowledge across several of the following areas:Microsoft 365 and its core servicesMicrosoft Azure or other cloud technologiesNetworking and connectivityWindows Server and on-premises infrastructureEndpoint technologies and device managementExperience coordinating technical resources across multiple concurrent projectsStrong stakeholder-management and customer-facing communication skillsThe ability to manage budgets, risks, issues, scope and delivery timescalesA structured and organised approach, with the confidence to maintain control under pressurePRINCE2 Practitioner or an equivalent recognised project-management qualificationPrevious experience working within an MSP or IT services environment would be beneficial, but it is not essential if you have managed similar customer-facing technology projects.Working arrangementThe position is based in Basildon, Essex, with a hybrid working pattern.
