IT Project Manager / IT System Implementation Specialist – Financial Institution (Non-Bank)

-Visa Sponsorship Available / Financial Services × Digital Transformation Role-A Japanese financial institution (non-bank) based in Amsterdam is seeking an IT Project Manager / IT System Implementation Specialist to support IT system implementation and digital transformation initiatives.The successful candidate will lead various projects, including AI utilisation and new system implementations, while collaborating with local business teams, the Tokyo headquarters, and external system vendors. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to drive projects from planning through implementation.(Ref: RS47503 - Please include this when making any enquiries.)Responsibilities• Plan and drive new system implementation and digital transformation projects, including AI-related initiatives• Gather and analyse business requirements, coordinate with the Tokyo headquarters, and obtain necessary approvals• Manage requirements definition, specifications, and project progress with system vendors• Manage overall project schedules, quality, risks, and issues throughout the implementation process• Design post-implementation operations, provide user training, and create manuals and documentation• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors on IT-related projects• Support system implementation in accordance with IT governance policies and internal procedures• Participate in other IT-related projects as required• Provide IT support to employees and handle IT-related inquiries• Troubleshoot IT issues in collaboration with external IT vendors when necessaryRequirements• Experience in system implementation, development, or implementation support within the IT industry• Experience in requirements definition and vendor management• Experience leading or managing IT projects• Experience working with financial institutions or financial systems• Business-level English communication skills• Experience as a system integrator (SIer), system vendor, or software engineer involved in customer-facing system implementation is highly desirable• Experience managing system implementation projects for financial institutions is preferred• Experience with AI initiatives or business improvement projects is an advantageConditions• Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands • Working Style: hybrid (approximately 3 days per week in the office, depending on project requirements)• Salary: From €57,000 per year (depending on experience and skills)• Employment Type: 1-year fixed-term contract (with possibility of renewal)• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 (1-hour break)• Start Date: ASAP• Benefits: Pension scheme, travel allowance, and training support*For candidates with strong relevant experience and skills, visa sponsorship may be available. *Applications are welcome from candidates currently based in Japan as well.
