The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a solid understanding of industry-specific systems, including real-time data environments and industrial operations.QualificationsKey Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications supporting upstream, midstream, or downstream operationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, and data teams) to deliver integrated technical solutionsDevelop and manage APIs, backend services, and data pipelines for real-time and historical data processingSupport integration of IT systems with operational technologies (OT), including SCADA and industrial control systemsAnalyze large datasets to improve operational performance, efficiency, and decision-makingEnsure system reliability, performance optimization, and cybersecurity complianceParticipate in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving production issuesContribute to system architecture design and continuous improvement initiativesRequirements :Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience as a Software Engineer or similar rolePrior experience working within the oil and gas or energy sector is requiredStrong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similarExperience with cloud platforms, databases, and distributed systemsFamiliarity with real-time data systems, automation, or industrial integrationsUnderstanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologiesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsFluent in Dutch& EnglishAdditional InformationPreferred Qualifications:    Experience with SCADA systems, IoT platforms, or industrial data systems     Knowledge of data engineering, ETL processes, or time-series data management     Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and operational workflows     Experience working with geographically distributed teams or field operationsAll our positions are open to both women and men and are, of course, open to people with disabilities.
