IT Specialist

Role Summary

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based Location Requirement: Candidates must be currently based in Saudi ArabiaWe are looking for an experienced IT Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support and IT operations for a major project in Riyadh.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of IT systems, networks, hardware, software, connectivity, and user support services.

The role will involve working closely with internal teams, technical suppliers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain smooth IT operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day IT technical support to employees, project teams, and onsite users.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.Provide first- and second-line technical support for hardware, software, connectivity, and user access issues.Manage user accounts, permissions, passwords, and access rights in accordance with IT policies.Troubleshoot network connectivity, Wi-Fi, LAN, internet, and basic infrastructure issues.Support the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure across offices, operational areas, and temporary project locations.Configure and maintain workstations, peripherals, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.Install, update, and maintain operating systems, applications, antivirus, and security software.Monitor IT systems and identify potential technical issues before they impact operations.Maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment, software licences, and user assignments.Manage IT tickets and ensure technical issues are resolved within agreed service levels.Coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and specialist contractors when required.Support the deployment and configuration of new IT systems, applications, and equipment.Assist with data backup, recovery, and basic cybersecurity requirements.Ensure IT equipment and systems are maintained in accordance with security and operational standards.Support onsite IT requirements during events, activations, meetings, and other project activities.Provide technical support for meeting rooms, presentations, video conferencing, and collaboration tools.Maintain IT documentation, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical records.Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate internal or external support teams.Ensure compliance with project IT policies, cybersecurity requirements, and data protection procedures.Required SkillsIT Technical SupportHardware & Software TroubleshootingNetwork SupportMicrosoft 365Active DirectoryIT Asset ManagementUser & Access ManagementCybersecurity AwarenessIncident & Problem ManagementVendor ManagementDocumentation & ReportingCustomer ServiceProblem SolvingAvailabilityCandidates must be currently based in Saudi Arabia, preferably in Riyadh, and available to work onsite.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in IT support, IT operations, systems administration, or a similar technical role.Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, hardware, software, and IT troubleshooting.Good understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.Experience with Active Directory, user account management, and access controls.Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.Basic understanding of cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and IT security best practices.Experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple technical issues and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and customer-service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Must currently be based in Saudi Arabia and be available to work in Riyadh.Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.CompTIA A+CompTIA Network+CompTIA Security+Microsoft certificationsITIL certificationCCNA or equivalent networking certificationExperience RequirementExperience in one or more of the following environments would be highly advantageous:Large-scale events and festivalsEntertainment and cultural projectsExhibitions and conferencesVisitor attractions and destination developmentsHospitality and tourismLarge public venuesSporting eventsTemporary project sites and event infrastructureGovernment or semi-government projects
