Part of that is strengthening the infrastructure that already exists. The rest is building the custom systems and software Dominion needs next.We are writing our own ERP integrations, manufacturing software, internal platforms, and automation, and we use AI-assisted development to do it. You will own your work from the start, you will have the CTO behind you, and you will have a say in what the IT function looks like as the company grows.This is a good fit if you like both halves of the work: racking a switch one week, scripting an integration the next, and shipping an internal application after that.DescriptionThis role is approximately 75% IT systems and administration and 25% internal software development. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be Dominion’s dedicated internal IT hire and will work closely with the CTO and the company’s managed service provider.You will:Be the hands-on IT person at the Roseville headquarters, supporting users, systems, and daily operations alongside the CTO and the company’s managed service provider.Handle hardware and device support start to finish: building and imaging systems, supporting laptops and peripherals, tracking component inventory, and keeping the data center (MDF) and network closets (IDF) to our network standards.Administer the core internal systems and tools: Microsoft 365, Entra, network and security platforms, and custom in-house applications. Handle user onboarding and offboarding.Watch network and system health with in-house and third-party tools, and set up alerting so problems surface before users report them.Deploy and maintain the endpoint security baseline, including device management through Intune, BitLocker encryption, multi-factor authentication, and endpoint protection.Run IT projects such as hardware refreshes, wireless upgrades, network buildouts, and system migrations, with clear timelines and milestones. Automate the operations work that is eating up time.Design, build, and maintain integrations across SaaS platforms and internal systems using REST APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks.Own the architecture behind Dominion’s AI-enabled software systems, including infrastructure, integrations, security, monitoring, reliability, and production operations.Build and support internal software on the company platform using Python, PostgreSQL, Azure, and REST APIs. That covers ERP functions, manufacturing software, and other operational applications, much of it written with AI assistance.Contribute to security reviews and infrastructure decisions supporting internal software development.Work directly with the people who use these systems to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and get projects done.Write clear documentation, both the technical kind and the kind end users can follow.QualificationsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.3+ years of experience in IT systems administration.Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration.Experience with enterprise network administration and deployment.Practical scripting or automation experience, plus an interest in growing into systems integrations and internal software development.Solid troubleshooting skills and a habit of seeing problems through to a fix.Able to work on-site, with some flexibility to work remotely.Preferred QualificationsExperience with scripting, APIs, systems integrations, or internal application development.Experience with software used in engineering- and manufacturing-heavy environments, including CAD, CAM, PLM, DMS, ERP, or MES platforms.Familiarity with Active Directory and multi-platform authentication environments.Experience with virtualization platforms and tools.Working knowledge of Windows-based systems and services, including Active Directory and SCCM: setup, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.Exposure to real-time systems and industrial telemetry networks.Experience with configuration management, provisioning, infrastructure as code, and other DevOps concepts and tools.Understanding of enterprise application security, identity management, API security, and secure software-development practices.Clear communication with coworkers, customers, vendors, and management, in writing and in person.Additional RequirementsWilling to work extended hours or the occasional weekend when a critical IT effort calls for it.Willing to take part in an after-hours on-call rotation.About Dominion Technologies GroupDominion Technologies Group builds assembly-line and processing equipment, with a focus on final-line tooling for the automotive and manufacturing industries.Our work covers systems planning and design, manufacturing, installation, and support, across Tire and Wheel, Fluid Fill, End-of-Line, and, Material Handling.
