Location- Riyadh (looking for local based candidates)Experience- 5 to 10 yearsContract Tenure- 3 monthsJob Description-Design, build, and maintain backend microservices using Java and QuarkusDevelop and consume REST/reactive APIs within a distributed microservices architectureImplement caching, session, and performance-sensitive logic using RedisWrite comprehensive unit and integration tests; maintain code coverage standards using JaCoCoEnforce code quality and formatting standardsImplement structured JSON logging for observability and traceabilityParticipate in contract testing to ensure safe integration across servicesCollaborate using GitLab workflows — feature branching, merge requests, hotfix sequencing, and release coordinationContribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deploymentWork with Maven-based project buildsParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremoniesDebug and resolve production issues in a regulated banking environment, following change management protocolsWhat We're Looking For5-8 years of professional backend development experienceStrong hands-on experience with JavaExperience with Quarkus or comparable frameworks (Spring Boot, Micronaut) — willingness to work in Quarkus is essentialSolid understanding of microservices architecture patterns (service decomposition, resilience, API contracts)Experience with Redis or similar caching/in-memory data storesFamiliarity with reactive programming conceptsPractical experience with unit/integration testing frameworks and code coverage toolingExperience with Git/GitLab branching strategies and CI/CD pipelinesUnderstanding of contract testing practicesExposure to Maven build systemsStrong debugging and problem-solving skills in distributed systemsGood communication skills and ability to work within cross-functional squadsNice to HavePrior experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated industriesFamiliarity with API gateways and security patterns for financial servicesExposure to structured logging/observability tooling
