The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java development and a strong understanding of building scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong backend development background with experience in REST APIs, databases, distributed systems, application architecture, and production environments.Experience with AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and technical leadership will be considered a strong advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications using Java and Spring Boot.Design and implement Microservices-based architectures.Develop and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs.Participate in system design, application architecture, and technical discussions.Build integrations between internal and external systems.Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases.Troubleshoot application performance, production issues, and system integrations.Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.Perform code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and other developers.Work with distributed and U.S.-based client teams.Participate in application deployments, production support, and release activities when required.Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance where applicable.Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong professional experience with Java.Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.Experience developing and maintaining Microservices.Strong understanding of REST APIs and API design principles.Experience with Spring technologies such as:Spring MVCSpring DataSpring SecuritySpring CloudStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and software design principles.Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar.Familiarity with Git and modern source-control workflows.Experience with unit and integration testing.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with any of the following will be considered a strong advantage:AWS, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.Docker and containerized applications.Kubernetes.CI/CD pipelines.Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar tools.Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.Maven or Gradle.Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming technologies.Redis or distributed caching.Application monitoring and observability.Agile/Scrum experience.Production application support.Team Lead / Technical Lead / mentoring experience.
