Location: Work from Office – BangaloreApply Now: hr@coffeeweb.comRole SummaryWe are looking for a Java Backend Developer with 1–3 years of experience to join our backend development team.The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and modern backend development practices.

You will work closely with frontend developers, technical leads, QA, and other team members to build, integrate, and maintain features for CoffeeWeb.Experience or exposure to real-time data processing, streaming data, Apache Kafka, or event-driven architecture will be an added advantage.Key Responsibilities1. Develop and maintain backend applications and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.2. Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable backend components.3. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for frontend and other system integrations.4. Work with SQL databases and develop efficient queries, stored procedures, and data-access components.5. Implement business logic using appropriate object-oriented design and coding practices.6. Troubleshoot and resolve functional, performance, and production-related backend issues.7. Work with messaging and event-driven systems where required.8. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and other development activities.9. Follow Git/GitHub-based development and code collaboration practices.10. Write unit tests and maintain code quality and development standards.11. Document technical changes and contribute to maintaining development documentation.12. Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them within agreed timelines.Required Technical Skills1. Strong understanding of Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.2. Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.3. Good understanding of REST API development and integration.4. Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.5. Familiarity with Hibernate/JPA or other ORM frameworks.6. Understanding of exception handling, collections, multithreading, and Java fundamentals.7. Familiarity with Git/GitHub and basic branching/version-control practices.8. Understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and backend application development practices.Good to Have Skills1. Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging/streaming platforms.2. Understanding of real-time or streaming data processing.3. Familiarity with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.4. Exposure to Redis or other caching technologies.5. Experience with WebSocket or real-time communication technologies.6. Familiarity with Docker and containerized application development.7. Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.8. Familiarity with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks.9. Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.Soft Skills13. Good problem-solving and analytical skills.14. Clear communication and ability to work effectively in a team.15.
