The primary responsibility of this role is to migrate our database from a Sybase environment to PostgreSQL within our Billing system, ensuring no functional changes occur during the process. Post-migration, you will utilize standard REST interfaces to maintain and enhance system functionality.Main TasksMigrate the database from Sybase to PostgreSQL within the Billing system without altering existing functionalities.Implement and maintain standard REST interfaces post-migration.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and system performance.Conduct technical analysis of existing systems, business logic, and technical solutions to support the migration process.Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.QualificationsMust-have requirements:Proficiency in the JVM Ecosystem, including Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, REST APIs, Maven, and JUnit.Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Sybase databases.Familiarity with tools and DevOps practices, including Kubernetes, Jenkins, SonarQube, and OpenAPI/Swagger.Proven experience in technical analysis, including the ability to analyze existing systems, business logic, and technical solutions.Fluent communication skills in English and Polish (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken.Nice To Have RequirementsExperience in developing stored procedures in Sybase.Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in AI technologies.Previous experience in the Billing domain.Additional InformationHybrid work model: 3 days from the office, 2 days of home office.Office locations: Warszawa, Lublin, Poznań.Thank you for your interest in our offer.
