Java Software Engineer

Job Title: Java Backend DeveloperExperience: 3–5 YearsLocation: Mumbai Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in both Angular and Java technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications, contributing across both frontend and backend layers. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on development experience, and the capability to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Angular and Java technologies.Build highly responsive and user-friendly web applications using Angular 16, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs using Java 11 or above.Implement and optimize multithreaded applications to enhance performance and scalability.Develop event-driven solutions using Messaging Queues and Apache Kafka.Create and maintain shell scripts for automation, deployment, and operational support.Work with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or Sybase, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams.Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and troubleshooting production issues.Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and software development best practices.Required Skills & ExperienceBackend Development3–5 years of hands-on experience in Java development.Strong proficiency in Java 11 or higher.Extensive experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.Strong understanding of:Multithreading & ConcurrencyCollections FrameworkException HandlingJVM ConceptsObject-Oriented Programming (OOP)Messaging & IntegrationExperience with Apache Kafka and messaging systems.Knowledge of asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures.Experience integrating distributed systems through messaging platforms.DatabaseStrong SQL development experience with any of the following:OracleDB2SybaseExperience in database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning.Scripting & ToolsHands-on experience with Shell Scripting.Experience with Git version control.Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and build/deployment processes.Preferred SkillsExperience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.Exposure to UNIX/Linux environments.Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech domains.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Desired Candidate ProfileStrong full-stack development expertise with both frontend and backend technologies.Ability to independently drive development tasks and deliver quality solutions.Excellent analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
