Guided by the mission of “a roof over every head” and the vision to become the global operating system for the home-building industry, MAHTO aims to raise living standards for communities worldwide.Role Description As a Java Software Engineer at MAHTO, you will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services that power our home-building ecosystem. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable Java-based applications and microservices. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code, integrating third-party services, and ensuring system performance, security, and maintainability. You will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help improve engineering best practices and development workflows. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangalore Urban.Qualifications Strong Software Development skills, including experience with designing, building, and maintaining production-grade systems.Proficiency in Java and core Programming concepts such as object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture, including building, deploying, and scaling distributed services.Practical knowledge of the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security) for building enterprise applications.Familiarity with RESTful APIs, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and integration with external services.Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (such as Docker and Kubernetes) is beneficial.Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and contribute to a supportive engineering culture.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Prior experience in fintech, proptech, or large-scale marketplace platforms is a plus.
