Hello Parent aims to create a seamless experience that school administrators and parents rely on and value.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Java Software Engineer role based in Delhi, India. The Java Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the Hello Parent platform. Responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing modules, and ensuring system scalability and performance. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews. The engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, contribute to architectural discussions, and help improve development processes and deployment pipelines.QualificationsStrong programming skills with Java and experience applying core object-oriented principles.Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework and related technologies for building robust backend services.Proficiency in software development practices, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of production systems.Experience designing and working with microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, version control (e.g., Git), and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, with attention to performance and security.Effective collaboration skills, including working with product, QA, and operations teams in an agile environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience with cloud platforms, containerization (e.g., Docker), or CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
